Pec Implant Surgery

Pectus Excavatum – Chest Wall Reconstruction
This 21-year old patient from San Marcos, California (North San Diego County) came in to meet Dr. Pousti because he was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE with the appearance of his chest wall. He had the Nuss Procedure when he was younger but was unhappy with the cosmetic result of his surgery. The Nuss Procedure is performed for medical necessity. Children with moderate to severe defects often experience shortness of breath, exercise intolerance and chest pain. Pectus Excavatum – Chest Wall Reconstruction

Detailed markings of the chest depression was made, and a moulage was prepared for a custom silicone implant, to correct his chest wall deformity.
