Plastic Surgery for Men QT: Why and How to Shave the Private Area?

More men are taking pride in the appearance of their lower region. As well as aesthetic appeal, many guys are finding that it helps with their sex life.

Why do it? Because she tells you to. It is true that the majority of women find body hair a turn-off. A little facial stubble may be easy to get away with, but she will soon complain about your Miami Vice chest-rug, and this policy is starting to extend further down too. Women are under increasing pressure from ever-diminishing bikini sizes and low-slung jeans to keep their show-parts tidy, and it is now becoming a male prerogative to share the burden. As considerate men, we should be sympathetic to our partner's wishes.
  • For appearance's sake: The simple fact is that shaving your nether region makes your manhood appear bigger. Without the unsightly tangle of undergrowth, the tree stands tall, and this is a positive that no man can ignore. Forget the perilous Internet pills or the painful American stretching exercises and stick to something that works – the joys of relative perception. Careful pruning around the trunk can add extra inches immediately.
  • It's hygienic: Whilst the medieval days of shaving to prevent the onset of horrible lice and itchy bush-creatures are thankfully behind us, having little or no pubic hair is sanitary and clean. It has been suggested that men with armpit hair are more prone to smelly underarms, so logic would tell us to follow the same principal further south too.
  • Super sensation: Men who often shave around the “meat and veg” report increased sensitivity during lovemaking. Kisses on the man's stomach and thighs are felt more keenly, and some men even state that the airy feel intensifies their orgasm. This works both ways, so if your girlfriend shaves too, remember to afford some extra time to her during oral sex. There is nothing like an unfurnished basement for true comfort, and it can help add some sensual feeling to your nightly antics.

Designer Stubble?

Obviously, you have a choice of how “far down” you wish to go. Whilst some men will opt for a full-on bare shave all over, most men would be happy with some gentle pruning. If you have never done this before, you will be really surprised with how a gentle trim at home can alter your appearance when stood in front of the mirror the following day.

The LA trend right now is for “shapes” - stencil patterns which can help you tailor the bush into a variety of circles or squares. If this seems too much hassle, then going for a full-on removal may open the door to a bright and breezy bedroom experience.

If all this seems a little crazy to you, then remember one thing; women value a man who can take a look at himself and take pride in improving his appearance. Even if the prospect of an all-over shave makes you feel slightly uneasy, a few minutes gentle tailoring with the electric shaver will show your partner that you care, and that has to be worth it.

For this type of shaving the water should be very warm but not boiling and an open or cut-throat razor (à la Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street) is not recommended. Neither is a multi-blade razor. The best option is a traditional safety razor; there are special female razors too. Have a supply of safety blades available and change them when they begin to drag on the skin.

Start by clipping the hair as short as possible. To keep a hairless crotch then there is a need only do this once. An electric clipper is best for this job, but scissors will work too. A word of warning though: do not use a scissors in the bathroom, a fall could result in a serious injury.

Eight Simple Rules for Safe Shaving

As in all things in life preparation is vital follow these simple rules
  • Do have a warm bath or shower for 10 minutes before shaving and pat dry
  • Do use a shaving brush and shaving soap
  • Do use special shaving razors for the job
  • Do not use shaving foam, cream or gel
  • Do not use special female shaving creams.
  • Do not cause skin irritation or pimples
  • Avoid infecting the skin
  • The hair should be as clean and short as possible

Shaving

Ater leaving the bath dry the area with a soft towel then liberally apply the shaving soap to the areas to be shaved. The best place to start is at the bottom, between the legs. Pull the skin tight using one hand to fully stretch the skin, then slowly and gently shave with the grain making a second pass shave against it.. It is possible to shave the same area twice only, but use plenty water and soap to avoid skin damage, cuts or friction burns.

When bald as a newborn babe, wash and dry the area thoroughly and apply baby oil or Aloe Vera to the newly denuded skin. Once the skin is dry, you need to use some sharp nail scissors to remove the stray hairs that have been left. In particular, this means the testicles, and any hair which was growing outwardly from the base of the penis which were too close for comfort for the razor to collect. Then apply baby or talcum powder daily to dry the area and reduce irritation.

Never consider waxing the scrotum apparently it brings tears to the eyes, and certainly do not use depilatory creams or lotions as these can irritate the sensitive skin in that area.

Should an allergic reaction to the soap occur then do not ever shave again; this area is far more sensitive than the face and an inflammatory or allergic reaction of the scrotum and penis is awesome to behold and painfully embarrassing to experience.

Pubic hair shaving is best done when sober and in an alert and attentive state of mind, otherwise it may not a good idea for a bungled job can lead to severe irritation, infection, nicks and scrapes or, worse, a permanent falsetto.
